Reporting to Parents

At Lowbrook we have an “Open Door” policy with teaching staff available at the start and the end of the school day.

We are committed to fulfilling our statutory obligation in reporting to parents as we believe it is vitally important in developing positive relationships with parents.  If however, you wish to speak to a member of staff or the Principal at a different time please contact the Office Manager in the school office to make a mutually convenient time.

At the beginning of each academic year we have a “Meet the Teacher” session in which the curriculum is outlined along with a general overview of the school routines.

We hold parent consultations in the Spring term (Term 3) to discuss children’s progress and to set future aspirational targets.  Written progress reports are completed in the Summer (Term 6) term, on which you and your child can comment if you wish.  In addition to the above we offer regular information sessions to parents on subjects such as Phonics, “Big Write” and Mathematics.
