Bringing our school community together
The Lowbrook Parent Association (LPA) is a really special part of school life. Throughout the year, the LPA brings children, parents and the wider school community together through a wonderful variety of events, activities and experiences.
From discos and Christmas celebrations to Easter activities, Arts & Cultures Day, Sports Day and our second-hand uniform sales, there is always something happening. These events aren't just about raising money — although fundraising is an important part of what we do. They are about creating the extra moments that children remember: having fun with their friends, trying something different, celebrating together and feeling part of the wider Lowbrook community.
The money raised by the LPA goes back into supporting our children and enriching their experience of school. Fundraising helps provide opportunities, resources and experiences that complement the fantastic education they receive in the classroom.
We need you!
None of this happens without the amazing parents and carers who give their time to make these events possible — and we would love to have more of you involved.
You don't need to commit to lots of time, attend every meeting or take on a big role. Even an hour here and there can make a real difference.
There are lots of different ways you can help, depending on your time, skills and interests. You might:
- Help set up or tidy away at an event
- Welcome families or check tickets
- Run a stall or help with refreshments
- Prepare things at home, such as decorations, sweet bags or hot chocolate kits
- Help with the practical side of events
- Become a Class Rep and share LPA news with your class
- Offer DIY or practical skills when needed
- Help behind the scenes with planning and organisation
- Use business or professional contacts to help us find raffle prizes, donations or sponsorship
There are opportunities during the school day, after school, in the evenings, at weekends — and even ways to help from home. So whatever your availability, there may be a way for you to get involved.
Every bit of help counts
The LPA belongs to the whole Lowbrook community, and it works best when lots of people contribute a little. You don't have to be part of the core team to make a difference.
So, if you've ever thought "I'd love to help, but I don't have much time", please don't let that stop you. A small amount of your time can help create a big experience for our children.
Come and be part of it. Meet other parents, get involved in school life and help us continue creating the fun, memorable and enriching experiences that make being part of Lowbrook so special.
